The Digi ClassicBoard is the original Digiboard serial product. The Digiboard ClassicBoard is still one of the most popular sold serial boards sold today. The Digi ClassicBoard is available in the older ISA architecture, as well as the more modern PCI bus architecture. The Digiboard ClassicBoard is also available in DB-9 and DB-25 configurations. The Digi ClassicBoard can run up to speeds of 460 Kbps. The DigiBoard is available in two popular configurations of 4 serial port or 8 serial ports. Multiple Digi ClassicBoard can also be installed in the same computer. The ClassicBoard family is best suited for applications where the CPU is able to devote some of its resources to handling computations or to real time applications that require short latency intervals. This solution is ideal for connecting cash registers, print receipt devices, scanners and other peripheral devices in retail POS systems. ClassicBoard can also be used in applications using sensors, switches, measurement devices, factory automation, EDI, industrial control processing and data collection. |
